not sure really! just a bunch of different job classes, a male and female version of both would be neat! (I always refer to final fantasy tactics when I need ideas for job classes since it has so many)
I checked the wiki for fft job classes and damn... I forgot how many there are lol. I'll see what I can do with that.
As for the paid packs. Currently I release my stuff with pay what you want payment option ($0 or more), so I if you want to throw me a coin, you can do that.
I've considered releasing some paid only stuff in the future, but I feel it would be way less accessible. I'll need to think about that more.
Hello! Enjoying your 1-bit Roguelike tileset in a small game I'm working on. The hard work getting these images to look just right definitely shows. Was wondering if you'd still be up for some custom work involving 51 16x16 pixel monochrome bitmaps under commission? The game is somewhat unique, and is written in C and assembly language suited for microcontrollers paired with an ePaper display module.
Hey! I'm glad you like it! I was really busy with the job, commission stuff, and releasing some other packs lol, so I haven't updated this one in a while.
I think I have some time to do more commissions though, so I'm up for it.
Great. I'll send you an email once my new account is activated. For now, if it's okay, I'd like to attach an image of the tileset along with a list of names for each tile. Most of 'em are your assets, some are Scroll-o-sprites, and a few are of my own creation. You'll probably have a few question about what some of these bitmaps actually do in the game,. If you can spare the time, let's talk and name your price.
Interesting. I think it would be easier to discuss everything over an email, so I'll wait until your account activation.
I probably also need to get a new email account, since the skiff mail is basically on life support right now.
btw, are you making a roguelike with C and assembly? If yes then I wish I was as powerful as you lol. I'm quite bad at C and I know only a little bit of how to work with 6502 assembly, so I can't even imagine doing something like that.
Even if you already know a little 6502 assembly, then you're pretty much on your way to knowing C. Funny you mention that processor, though, as I was asked to port my game to the Commodore 64 not three weeks ago!
I relinquished all email accounts linked to a phone number, and chose "tutamail.com" for now, but I need to wait 48 hours. Your email is listed below. Will be trying that after my account works. Take care and talk to you soon.
Hey! How is the email activation going? I'm just a little worried that you've already sent me an email, and I just haven't received it. Work takes quite a lot of my time rn, so sorry for not responding earlier.
I learned a bit of 6502 assembly to mess around with NES stuff. Never got too far with that though. I always forget that c64 is also 6502 based. I really like the 8-bit consoles and computers, so I'd love to check the Commodore 64 port if you are going to make it at some point.
multitile entities in roguelikes have always been super cool to me, they evoke a sense of dread and power! defo gunna have some in my projects. it opens up possibilities too, cuz like you said, 16x16 is pretty small.

I've used (and loved!) these guys in my game Colorize and we just released a demo, if you want to check it out. https://lifelessgamesstudio.itch.io/colorize
Nice! Description sounds like the type of game I really enjoy but suck at lol. I'll check it out soon.
these are amazing! would love to see more human/job class sprites! the way you do humanoids in this style is just great!
Thank you! I want to draw a bunch of stuff for this pack soonish. Just need to find some time for that.
What human sprites you'd like to see? I'll add them to my evergrowing TODO list lol.

would love if there was a paid pack too!

love these. just paid for them, and i hope that anyone reading does, too.
please grow it some more if you can - some bigger bosses would be cool.
keep up the great work!
love the new tiles! it would be cool to see some boss monsters too, ie multi tile entities.
Thanks! Multi tile creatures would be really fun to draw! I'd struggled a bit to fit some big creatures into a single 16x16 tile.
multitile entities in roguelikes have always been super cool to me, they evoke a sense of dread and power! defo gunna have some in my projects. it opens up possibilities too, cuz like you said, 16x16 is pretty small.
Kyzrati has a really good article about making them! The multi tile robots in Cogmind are my worst nightmare lol.
side note, you are an awesome artist, do you ever do paid commission work for indie game devs? im always looking for help with my projects art lol.
I haven't done any commissions yet, but I'd be up to do some! (I really need to set up a proper portfolio page, huh)
Do you have a professional email or way I can contact you? If you are up for it maybe we could come up with some work I could commission you for?
Sure do, you can send me an email at hexany.ives@skiff.com
awesome! Really love this.
Thank you! Let me know if you are going to use it for anything, I'll be glad to check it out!
